From selecting materials to shaping, step by step gluing, laying moss, brushing wood wax oil, it took nearly 3 hours to complete. With the guidance of the young lady, I was basically able to finish it independently. It is very attractive for children who like handmade crafts, allowing them to learn while working with their hands.
Four adults spent an afternoon here! Super happy and super relaxing. We usually enjoy handicrafts. This studio is really great—the materials are the most abundant I've ever seen. And there were no limits on what we could choose. They even helped us come up with plans, bringing out plants we'd never seen before to enrich our creations. The pieces we wanted to make weren't originally available, but the young lady immediately folded a moon-shaped frame on the spot. Instantly, the moon flower wreath I wanted came to life! The dried fruit door curtain and the little fox photo frame were both spontaneous ideas, but we were so satisfied with the final results! Whether for adults or children, you can happily spend hours here!
In the studio facing Cangshan Mountain, I spent most of the day completing my first botanical handcraft. Teacher Zhenhao told me the name of each fruit and seed and where they came from. As she spoke in a gentle tone, I felt as if I was walking with her in Mangshi, Xishuangbanna, and Cangshan, picking up treasures. The wreath I made myself is completely different from one bought in a store. It incorporates my feelings for nature and my current state of mind. I hope more people can have this experience. After a day of hiking, I'm too tired to write more eloquently. In short, two words: highly recommended!
We signed up for four activities with Cangshan Hiking Home. First, we spent two days doing crafts at the Coffee Nature Handcraft Studio at the foot of the mountain, making a mushroom lamp and a fruit butterfly. The kids absolutely loved it. Teacher Li Zhenhao and Teacher Agua were both wonderful, patiently teaching the children. They also made friends with other kids doing crafts and agreed to go hiking together next time! The coffee and drinks at Teacher Li Zhenhao's shop were delicious, especially the plum drink—I loved it! On the third day, we signed up to pick pinecones on Cangshan and have a vegetarian meal at Jizhao Nunnery. Along the way, we collected lots of pinecones and fern leaves with other friends. Li Zhenhao kept introducing us to various plants—he was really professional! We even saw a squirrel on the way. The guide brought plenty of fruit, snacks, pastries, and even hot tea! We sat on the ground, ate snacks, drank tea, and chatted. Even though we had just met, everyone was so happy! The kids loved it. At 5 p.m., we had the vegetarian meal at Jizhao Nunnery, which was really tasty—my kid ate a whole big bowl! On the fourth day, we went to Shaxi. Guide He Chen took us to Shaxi Ancient Town to enjoy delicious local specialties. In the afternoon, we climbed Shizhong Mountain to see the Tang Dynasty grottoes. The itinerary was well arranged, with few people along the way and beautiful scenery. The kids really enjoyed the guide's explanations of the grotto history. At night, we stayed at a mountain guesthouse with a great environment and comfortable rooms. Sitting by the campfire, chatting and warming ourselves, was truly joyful. In summary, all the guides over these days were very professional and super nice! After returning, my kid said they want to go again during summer vacation. We plan to try other activities then! Day 5 in Yunnan. Early morning went to Cangshan to pick mushrooms, afternoon stream hiking and leaf rubbing. After coming down the mountain, we turned the mushrooms into a mushroom specimen lamp as a souvenir. My sister's hands-on skills are getting stronger. Right now, I'm pumping milk and drinking coffee while waiting for my sister to finish her craft. Relaxed and slow.
Came to Zhenhao Sister's "Shan Xia" studio to make a unique mushroom lamp of our own. The kids said they want to put it by their bedside and look at it every day!

Today I came to a wonder room perfect for brainstorming and wild ideas! With eyes that discover, a mind that loves to think, and hands that explore diligently, the virtual and real in nature collide. There's nothing you can't imagine and nothing you can't make. A piece of honeycomb found can let a little bee land on it; a section of shed snake skin can be shaped into a king cobra. A child who loves stegosaurs made an ancient stegosaurus out of pinecones; a friend who loves weapons equipped all the little animals with cannons, thus creating a unique hammerhead shark with a human cannon. Brother Xuan fell in love with spiders after coming to Dali, so he made a huge furry spider with nine eyes.

During the Spring Festival, I had time to take my kid to Dali. I saw her shop on Xiaohongshu and brought my child there to do handicrafts. The shop environment was great, and my kid loved it so much that we went two days in a row. They even made two friends and agreed to go hiking together next time. The owner, Li Zhenhao, was super nice, and Teacher Agua was extremely patient with the kids. We're planning to bring our child again in summer vacation! The latte at the shop was also delicious, and there was a plum drink that was super tasty—the owner said it was made by a local lady. While waiting for the kids, there were snacks to eat! It was truly a wonderful experience. I'll definitely go again next time I'm in Dali!
