Longshouguan Ruins, moderate-distance hike, 8 hours, 13km, elevation gain nearly 600m. With a fitness habit, I found it manageable overall. The guides were Hanhan and Dangeng. Highlights: 1. The guides shared knowledge about plants and animals along the way, picking various mushrooms randomly, and offering some non-toxic sweet-and-sour wild fruits. Knowledge flooded in—learned a lot! 2. The scenery was stunning. Morning mist drifted like Erhai Lake slowly unveiling its veil; afternoon sunlight sporadically fell on distant villages and mountains, guiding us into the forest. 3. Dangeng is a warm-hearted little dog, always running back and forth to make sure all three of us were safe. 4. The lunch break was abundant: purple sweet potato cakes, assorted fruits, sandwiches, instant noodles, milk strips, spicy strips, and very tasty black tea. 5. The guides took photos of food, scenery, and people. Although I had no need for photos, they shared nearly a hundred images in the group afterward. 6. My fellow hiker was very kind—she lent me sunscreen and helped when the trail got rough. Having someone behind me felt reassuring. 7. Safety was my top concern. Being my first time in Yunnan and first hike, I needed a guide for safety. Hanhan gave thorough and timely reminders. Grateful.

Longshouguan Ruins, a medium-distance hike, 8 hours, 13km, elevation gain nearly 600m. With a habit of exercising, I found it not difficult overall. The guides were Hanhan and Dangeng. Highlights: 1. The guides shared knowledge about plants and animals along the way, picking various mushrooms and randomly offering some non-toxic sweet and sour wild fruits. Knowledge poured into my brain—a bit of everything. 2. The scenery was beautiful. In the morning, the drifting clouds seemed like Erhai Lake slowly unveiling itself; in the afternoon, the sun randomly scattered light on distant villages and mountains, leading us into the forest. 3. Dangeng is a warm-hearted little dog who kept running back and forth to make sure all three of us were safe. 4. The lunch break was very abundant: purple sweet potato cakes, a variety of fruits, sandwiches, instant noodles, milk strips, spicy sticks, and a very tasty black tea. 5. The guides took photos of food, scenery, and people. Even though I didn't need photos, after the hike, he shared nearly a hundred photos in the group. 6. My fellow hiker was very kind; she lent me sunscreen and gave me a hand when the trail was difficult. It felt reassuring to have someone walking behind me. 7. Personally, I care most about safety. It was my first time in Yunnan and my first hike, so I needed a guide for safety. Hanhan gave timely and thoughtful reminders. Thank you.

Longshou Pass Ruins hike, 500m+ elevation gain, 13km+. Started with a tough climb, but every step offered a new view, and we had the super gentle and smart border collie Guobao accompanying us the whole way. Especially when we reached a meadow platform overlooking Dali with a wide view, it was so beautiful words failed me. It was truly a special hiking experience. My little sister went up crying and came down laughing. With the professional guide Caifeng leading us, I achieved a breakthrough in courage. My older brother went up easily but came down frustrated, in a bad mood the whole way. But the dog comforted him from time to time, and I stayed with him until we descended. It was also a rare opportunity to learn about emotional management. Longshou Pass, an unmissable most beautiful hiking route in Dali.

Third time in Dali, but this trip unlocked many first-time experiences, all with Cangshan Hiking Home, every single one was 100%! First time hiking Cangshan: I never knew Cangshan could not only be viewed from afar but also climbed up close. The weather was a bit hot that day, but the guide (Cai Feng) was professional and patient, and even took us to pick many mushrooms along the way. The cute dog, Guobao, added a lot of fun to this 12-kilometer hike. Once again, I challenged my endurance, a breakthrough experience!

Longshou Pass hike for 6 hours, seeing Erhai Lake from Cangshan, wheat fields, terraced fields, and some really big pits. Along the way, we heard the legend of the Roc bird and the history of Longshou Pass. On the mountainside in the distance, there was a cemetery (but the tombstones were a style I had never seen before). Team leader Brother Ding said they really knew how to pick a spot, living together in a lively way [tears of laughter][tears of laughter]. He talked about picking mushrooms in summer—edible ones are eaten, and the inedible ones are dried and then stewed with meat [tears of laughter]. Anyway, they have to eat them; I don't get it—does drying remove the poison? The other two team leaders identified flowers and plants, recognized birds by their calls, and pointed out which fruits are edible and which ones you can suck a bit of nectar from. When they encountered a plant they didn't recognize, they threatened to secretly step on it, so then they wouldn't have any they didn't know [tears of laughter][tears of laughter]. We sat on a patch of grass in the middle of the forest, basking in the sun, eating our packed lunch, plus the pear chips, walnuts, and fermented drink that Brother Ding brought himself—he even brought a thermos. Drinking American coffee on the mountaintop—this was absolutely top-notch.

I've known Hiking Family for many years and have participated in about 5 or 6 projects. Every one has been great. Today's photos are from the Longshou Pass light hike. This route is super friendly for beginners, not tiring but offering beautiful scenery. All the way, we traversed through misty mountains, with wildflowers scattered everywhere. PS: This guide was super reliable, with a double buff of safety and knowledge! V **Professionalism Max**: V **Walking Encyclopedia**: V **Detail-Oriented and Warm**:

Guide Xiao Xige was really nice. Before the hike, he took me to buy grilled Erkuai (a local snack)—I definitely wouldn't have found such a delicious one on my own. The white strawberries were super sweet too. During the hike, he took good care of me and proactively took photos for me. Thumbs up, hehe. Finally, when I wanted to visit March Street, he specially dropped me off there (not recommended to visit March Street—I got overwhelmed). But the scenery of Cangshan feels more like the north—very desolate. No wonder it's called Cangshan (meaning "grey mountain").

The right choice Choosing this route during peak season was definitely the right choice! Enjoying the peace and focus, experiencing the sunlight of Dali, overlooking Erhai Lake, passing by mountain homes, and taking a break in the pine forest—it was a joyful hiking experience!

A very beautiful route, with both open views and secluded mountain paths. It also passes through a village, where having an iced cola with spicy sticks was pure joy. And the guide Wangwang's snack feast—I really admire his preparation for snacks. Every single one was delicious (the kind that makes you want to instantly order them on Taobao). Looking forward to unlocking more routes~
