Dai Dai’s Family-Friendly Rural Homestay with Meals

About the Name: Most guests are mothers and children visiting Dali for study tours. I hope the sunshine of Dali can shine into and stay in the children's hearts forever. So I named it Nanyu Shiguang. About the Location: Directly locate 'Nanyu Shiguang' on Tencent, Baidu, and Gaode maps. Located in Chongyi Village, less than 3 kilometers from Xiaguan (Dali city center). From the homestay to Erhai Lake, it's a 3-minute walk. Pharmacy, supermarket, and vegetable market in the village are a 5-minute walk away. Cangshan Botanical Garden 3 km, Yew Tree Farm 3 km, Fengyangyi (Windy Courtyard) 2.5 km, Sansheng Island 3.9 km, Erhai Moon Wetland Park 4.5 km, Zhang Family Garden 5 km, Cangshan Scenic Area (Gantong Cableway, Jizhao Nunnery) 6.5 km, Dali Ancient City 8 km. The nearest vegetable market is in Chongyi village, a five-minute walk away, with pharmacy and convenience store. The nearest hospital is the Maternal and Child Health Hospital, 3 km from the homestay. The nearest kindergartens are Puxin Kindergarten, Qimeng Forest, Duocai Fine Arts, and Kuashiji Kindergarten, all about 3 km away; these kindergartens accept short-term study tours. About Facilities: Nanyu Shiguang is a standalone homestay with a courtyard. The courtyard is not very large. The building has three floors, each with a large living room, and every room has an ensuite bathroom. Rooms 102, 201, 202, 301, and 302 are the same size, but 102 has tile floor (no hardwood) and a squat toilet instead of a toilet. Rooms 102, 201, and 301 have average window views; only 301 has some mountain view; others see the courtyard and village. Morning sun is available; afternoon sun is softer. These three rooms have bay windows. Rooms 202 and 302 are mountain-view rooms with wide views of the majestic Cangshan. Afternoon sunlight is excellent and fills the entire room. These two rooms do not have bay windows. Rooms 203 and 303 have the same layout, are the largest, and have the best window views. 203 additionally has a smart toilet and bathtub. The view is expansive, and sunlight fills the room. No bay windows. Rooms 204 and 304 have the same room and bathroom size, second only to 203 and 303. 304 has twin beds, 204 has a king bed. These two rooms do not have mountain views. About Amenities: Videos of rooms were taken before bed-making. Every room has blankets, pillows, and linens; a kettle and cups; towels, bath towels, toiletries, laundry soap, and a hairdryer in the bathroom; as well as a child's bath tub, potty, and footstool. Each room has a single-sided bed rail. The first-floor laundry room has two new Haier washing machines purchased in January 2024. The dining room has four high chairs for babies; priority use for younger children. The courtyard has four baby strollers; priority for younger children. Videos are real shots without filters or retouching. The actual appearance is much better than the videos. Because this is a short-term rental homestay, I don’t want guests to be disappointed upon arrival. The best amenity is the aunt who prepares three meals a day; the children call her Grandma. She is from Suzhou and lives in the homestay. She cooks with light flavors, balances nutrition well in every meal, and is very clean. She is hardworking, upright, kind, and loving. Every mother and child likes her very much. About Pricing: Off-season prices are as follows. These are set after careful calculation. Due to higher rent, labor, and ingredient costs compared to the Dali market, short-term stays are for convenience with low profit margins, so no negotiation is accepted. About Services: 1. In Dali villages, picking up packages is troublesome with scattered stations; we offer free package collection service. 2. A cleaning aunt is provided; every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each room is cleaned. If linens need changing, please inform her. If cleaning is not needed, please inform her in advance. 3. Meals are arranged based on the number of people signing up in the group. Each meal has meat and vegetables to meet daily nutrition needs for adults and children. If all guests eat at the homestay, generally two tables of food are prepared: five dishes and one soup or six dishes and one soup, with serving utensils. The aunt is responsible for grocery shopping, cooking, dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning. 4. There is a toy room on the first floor for children to play. About Vision: The courtyard of Nanyu Shiguang does not have much decoration or lawn; it doesn’t look like a typical homestay. One guest once said: 'The interior really resembles her grandmother’s house in childhood, especially clean.' I hope to make it a home for study-tour mothers. Simple, clean, comfortable. Let mothers walk in and shed fatigue, without restraint, doing as they please. Like returning to a rural grandmother’s house. Although the toy room is not large, the small slide, trampoline, block wall, painting area, and craft area can give mothers a little independent space. I rarely see a kitchen cleaner than Nanyu Shiguang, rarely see a homestay more like home than this. So I am gratified that I have made this homestay exactly as I wanted. I hope everyone likes it.
