Sometimes words pale before the magnificent beauty of nature, so let the photos speak for themselves. Thank you to our dedicated guide Hanhan, not only for their exceptional photography skills but also for the professional botanical knowledge shared along the way. Thanks to our model 'prop' — the gentle and lovely Egg Custard. Grateful for yesterday's clouds ☁️ and the cattle and sheep we encountered. All of these together form another unforgettable memory. The healing power of the forest has quietly taken root in my heart.

Today's trip was absolutely amazing. Led by Huanhuan, along with my fellow travelers, we saw scenery in the deep primitive forest that I've never seen before, and learned about different plants and mushrooms. Although we were quite tired from walking, it was an unforgettable wonderful experience!

I would like to give a shout-out to our treasure of a guide, Huanhuan, who accompanied us with meticulous patience throughout the entire journey. She made an already fascinating hiking route even more colorful and vibrant. It was also the most fulfilling day we spent in Dali.

This hiking route was truly stunning. Our guides, Tailor and National Treasure, gave us an unforgettable experience. The alpine vegetation in the Yunnan mountains is incredibly rich, from mushrooms, lichens, moss, and ferns of the Lycopodiaceae family to Yunnan pines, forming a very diverse ecosystem. The varied terrain offered beautiful scenery all along the way. The primeval forest deepened my reverence for nature. National Treasure was adorable, leading us along the trail and occasionally looking back to check if we were keeping up. The whole journey was a bit thrilling but generally easy to complete. It was truly a wonderful experience.

The scenery is very beautiful, and the guide (Hanhan) is professional. Along the way, we got to know various mushrooms: beautiful ox-tongue mushrooms, brightly colored poisonous mushrooms, ordinary-looking poisonous mushrooms, a national second-class protected plant, and crystal orchids that look like ghosts from the underworld. There were also various Chinese medicinal herbs: lily, euphorbia, and pinellia. As we walked, we tasted sour and sweet wild strawberries by the roadside. The overall route was easy, with not much climbing, making it relatively easy to walk.

Finally went on the Yunnan hike I've been longing for. It exceeded my expectations. I really like the guide Huanhuan, who introduced us to various plants along the way and patiently took tons of great photos for us. Absolutely stunning. The primeval forest is incredibly beautiful. Dali, Dali, see you next time!

Great experience! No touristy feel, completely immersed in nature. There are vast meadows, trees similar to those in Ailao Mountain, wind, rain, clouds, and a guide. Hanhan patiently explained various plants and fungi, and it wasn't tiring. I also enjoyed the tea, fruits, and snacks that Hanhan carried. Even though I've been living in Dali for two years, it still felt fresh and absorbing... I like this kind of off-the-beaten-path route, walking and resting along the way. I'm really looking forward to the next time. Thanks to Hanhan and the fellow travelers for the photos, I love them!

I came here with friends. This hiking route is rich in variety, with rocky dirt paths carved by rain on the meadows, natural grassy slopes, forest trails covered in thick pine needles mixed with moss, and the most unique section—a path through a mossy forest with layers of damp fallen leaves. I stared closely at the moss hanging on the trees, loving how they all sway in the same direction with the wind. Taking a deep breath, I could feel the present moment. Following guide Hanhan felt very reassuring. Along the way, I also learned about some plants and mushrooms—serious poison warning. Egg Custard is a super obedient (meaning the owner is obedient) smart dog. Hard work today! Oh, if you encounter protected plants on the road, try not to touch them. If you like primeval forest landscapes, this route is a great choice.

The guide is really great, and Sister Yangliu is also very nice! A very healing hike :) Patient explanations, professional science popularization, safety protection, and thoughtfully prepared raincoats and dry food. Starting from mid-June, mushrooms began to pop up. Lucky to encounter several different kinds, climbing slopes, mountain paths, forests, grasslands, crossing different vegetation, and uniquely shaped trees. Vibrant vitality, along with this fresh oxygen, poured into my body. Another journey full of energy. Thank you very much.

It's a very niche hiking trail. Rarely visited, we only encountered one or two locals along the way. It's a relatively easy route, passing through the rainforest to reach the ridge where you can see the sea of clouds. In the rainforest, you can discover various plants, mushrooms, and ferns. A very relaxing hiking trip. It's also suitable for children and even those who lack experience in mountain sports.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Scenes too beautiful for words. Like a Studio Ghibli anime. A camera can capture the fleeting green, but not the vitality along the way. The energy drawn from nature is like a wireless fast charger that never depletes. Lying on the pine needles and meadows, I felt merged with the mountain, like the moss. I sensed the silent yet steadfast flow of life. Touching the tree bark with my palms, picking up pinecones and feathers of the Lady Amherst's pheasant, breathing in the fragrance of herbs and soil. This joy and acceptance can never be found among crowds. Thank you to guide Lini, very talkative and deeply in love with nature, and great at taking photos. With him, I briefly measured the summer of this ridge on foot. I hope that in countless future moments when I need recharging, I'll have the chance to return and see its seasons change.

All encounters in the world are either accidents or perhaps destiny. My trip to Yunnan was a spontaneous decision. After learning that I was going to Dali, Sister Anran, who has been living in Dali, recommended the Cangshan hike to me. As a child who grew up by the sea and later lived in the steel forest of Shenzhen after graduation, I have always yearned for deep mountains and dense forests. So when choosing a hiking route, I didn't hesitate and settled on Cloud Ridge. After signing up, I eagerly looked forward to that day. Walking through the wilderness, freely breathing the fresh air of the forest, I encountered many plants and creatures I had never seen before. During breaks and after descending, I had brief chats with guide Yanzi, which made me rethink the shape and true meaning of life. Sister Anran also said that this hike gave her a new understanding of me, seeing the side of me that truly loves life. It was only later that I realized I had been bound by worldly matters and life for too long. Only when immersed in the mountain breeze did I finally shed all shackles, release my truest self, and see my own carefree and spontaneous side. This Cloud Ridge hike was not originally in my travel plans, but it unexpectedly became the most healing and unforgettable memory of my Yunnan trip. I am grateful for this encounter with Cangshan hiking, and I look forward to meeting again in the wilderness.

A very worthwhile hiking experience. The forest is beautiful, hiding many plants I've never seen before. Perhaps because few people set foot here, the forest paths are soft, making a rustling sound when stepped on. We were lucky—the sky cleared up in the second half of the hike, and sunlight streamed through the gaps in the trees, sparkling on the meadows. Special thanks to today's guide Yanzi, the little dog guide Liangdian, and the fateful "one-day limited" companions. I'm so happy today!

Although it was cloudy and we encountered a little rain in the second half, it didn't affect the hiking experience. Amidst the shifting light and shadows, it felt like we had stumbled into Alice's Wonderland. A friend said it was like the world of Avatar. Different layers of green kept changing from near to far. The downhill path was covered with pine needles, soft underfoot. Every step here is full of vitality. Kimi and Lini chatted the whole way; he said if he had to rate it, he'd give it ten stars.

This hike was a perfect 10/10! The natural scenery along the way was stunning, with lush green trees and deep roots and dense leaves, as if stepping into an ancient forest fairyland. The guides Huanhuan and Xiaojin were especially thoughtful and warm, preparing a lavish tea break with snacks, tea, and coffee. They also took photos for us the whole way, and every casual shot turned out great. They provided so much emotional support throughout the journey. There were also two lively and adorable dogs accompanying us the whole way, well-behaved yet playful. It was a hike that offered great value for money, healing and fun. The overall experience was fantastic, highly recommended!

Cloud Ridge, the scenery along the way lives up to its name—peaceful and ethereal, beautiful with a sense of vastness, not the desolate vastness of the northwest, but a more enduring, lingering expansiveness. In the early summer forest, the green is sofull and vivid it seems ready to flow, and you realize not all greens in the world are equally beautiful. Leaves carpet the path. Through the deep forest, the entire hillside is a wild meadow, where the White Temple dog chases people playfully across the grass. When the wind blows, the sound of pine waves rises. Close your eyes and listen—it's like a clear, cold stream flowing slowly through your heart. Open your eyes, and the emerald pine branches sway in the wind, like a Chinese ink painting withspace to breathe, or a freehand martial arts scene. Guide He Chen captures wonderful colors and stories in his lens. Images can sometimes be more enduring than memories, though not always. The same road offers different scenery to each person. May you discover your own. Finally, special thanks to guide He Chen for bringing us such a unique route and excellent sharing. And to Wangwang, without whom this trip wouldn't have happened. Well, I won't let any friend who contributed to this go unmentioned.

It feels like entering another world. The charm of colorful Yunnan is captivating. The hair of the trees in the dense forest is beautiful, and who wouldn't love a path covered with rhododendron petals? Sunlight filters through the leaves onto various plants, stunningly beautiful to the point of tears. In a quiet world, experiencing the beauty of nature, this platform is the best choice. Stay away from socialization, just enjoy the moment, give more time to happiness and joy. Nature is worth it.

A beautiful route, perfectly matching the theme song of The Lord of the Rings. Going up the mountain felt like walking through a magical forest, and coming down was a large grassy slope dotted with towering ancient trees, making me feel like I was back in the Shire. The guide, Lini, was very enthusiastic, accommodating, professional, and responsible. In short, you deserve it.

I'm not someone who usually exercises much. I arrived in Dali yesterday morning, and the next day I went hiking on Cloud Ridge. The first part of the journey did require some effort, but after about half an hour of climbing to the top, the rest of the trail was easy. The scenery along each section was different and very beautiful, totally worth it.

Absolutely stunning route! Even though the drive took an hour and a half, it was totally worth it. The difficulty was okay too. The climb was only about 300 meters at the start, then it leveled out. The scenery was breathtaking, each section had its own charm, and the terrain was varied—rocky paths, forests, meadows, pine-needle trails—never boring. Huanhuan brought lots of tea snacks, and even hot tea! Eating in the mountains was so comfortable!! They introduced various plants in great detail along the way. Look at the last photo—Huanhuan was so dedicated, lying on the ground to take pictures for us! I'll definitely recommend this route and guide to friends!

The day before, I heard from a fellow participant on the Xipo trip that this route was beautiful, and they strongly recommended it. Today, I followed Wangwang and Tailor on the Cloud Ridge hike. We bought some snacks at Pushi and set off happily. The drive was filled with eating, drinking, and laughter with the group. The initial uphill section was a bit tough for someone like me who doesn't exercise much. I had to stop and rest frequently, but luckily the pace was slow and not too strenuous. The scenery we saw is partly shown in the photos (I think aesthetics are very subjective). My friend and I felt that the forest was beautiful, the light and shadows were lovely, and it was relaxing and pleasant to be in the woods. When tired, we just sat down on the ground. The sunlight was perfect, and the environment was so comfortable that I dozed off for a while—it was very enjoyable. This trail was quiet, healing, and stress-relieving... The scenery was beautiful, and the group had great conversations, making it very interesting. The guides and everyone were thoughtful, taking photos for each other, and I got many satisfying shots. Wishing every friend a pleasant journey!

The Cloud Ridge itinerary is very special. Along the way, you experience extremely diverse landscapes, and each section lets you touch completely different natural textures. I'm a frequent hiker, and I still found it fascinating! The guide Tailor is a man of few words but very sincere. He actually talked about Naruto with my kid all day long—the whole day! I was worried several times that my child might be too bothersome, but he never showed any impatience or annoyance, and responded to every word. I've always believed that people who are willing to listen carefully to children must be very kind. Before the trip, I showed my child the profiles of each guide, hoping he would notice their different personalities. After returning home, he was so captivated that he asked me to pull them up again. Combining Tailor's occasional remarks about his own experiences during the day, my child filled in the gaps based on his ideal image, mixing truth and fiction to create a mythical version of Tailor. He finally concluded: "Mom, I think Tailor is the coolest. I've never seen anyone who loves Naruto so much that they opened a Naruto-themed ramen shop. I admire him so much!" Thank you to Tailor's dog, Guobao, for providing half the emotional value. Thank you to Tailor for creating this wonderful memory for my child. I think this memory will stay with him for a long time: on that special February day, he had a unique day with Tailor and Guobao.

A trip that avoids crowds even during the Spring Festival. This primeval forest is near Yongping County. We took Yanzi's cute minivan from Dali, passing through Yi villages along the way. Yanzi explained the roadside plants and flowers. The first half of the ascent is physically demanding, but it's very rewarding to sit on the ground for lunch and afternoon tea. Along the way, you can pick up small plants. I'm prone to altitude sickness and brought four oxygen canisters, but I barely used them—the forest is oxygen-rich, which seems to offset the high altitude (the highest point is around 2750 meters). The little dog Liangdian is very well-behaved. I recommend bringing a dog for more fun.

A stunning route, hard to quit. I wish I could have more. Half of the route was through primeval forest. From the moment I entered the forest, my heart felt soft. The tree moss swayed in the wind, constantly shaking the light. Everything was green and fuzzy underfoot, and my heart was soft. Yang Mi chose a tree for a picnic. The light in that area was scattered and lazy, and so were we. The other half was pine forest and pasture—words can't describe the vastness. The pine forest was on the hillside, towering into the clouds. Looking forward and backward, I was stunned by the beauty. Several times I slid down the hillside on pine needles, having a great time. The soil here is pinkish, strangely romantic. Thank you, Yang Mi and Yanzi, for bringing Xiaoxi and me to play in the mountains. See you next time!
