DD | Back in Dali for Five Days
Back in Dali for five days, returning to the fields, daily routines, and physical practice, life is becoming more hopeful step by step.

Back in Dali for five days, and I feel alive again.
Yesterday after swimming, we had a picnic on the water storage platform by the fields. A 360-degree view of fields and sea—everything tastes better with that view.
After the meal, we strolled along the field edges. The corn tassels swaying—that must be the shape of the wind. In the distance, smoke curled up—it might not necessarily be someone cooking; it could be burning plastic and garbage. There are so many vegetables that you can pick a bunch discarded by the roadside. There are green onions you can take home to fry scallion oil that will last a year, and potatoes with blemishes that can be eaten after cutting off the bad parts or replanted. There are also early corn cobs—usually only two or three ears are left on each stalk, so many small corns are broken off. If you pick one and eat it whole, cob and all, it has a special sweetness.
Maybe I'm really not suited for city life. Maybe only in this kind of environment can my life energy be unleashed.
Today I haven't been idle either. I started standing meditation again, then practiced Tai Chi and Baduanjin, hoping to regain the energy I lost in the city.
Today I emptied the bed in my car and reinstalled the original seats, so it'll be more comfortable for passengers. Also, after looking for a room for several days, I finally decided to rent a single room from a friend. That way I don't have to sleep in the car anymore, and it will be easier to later modify the car for a better bed layout.
Tonight I rearranged the furniture in the room and cleaned up. Life feels more hopeful step by step. There are so many things I want to do—once I start moving, everything seems to become clearer [smile]
A rambling little essay, trying to express my inner feelings~
