Présentation détaillée
Halal beef in Dali is very special: clear broth, fresh, and fragrant. I think it's a must-try.
Because Yunnan has a large Muslim population, starting from when the Mongol Empire took control of Dali 760 years ago (1265), many halal restaurants on 'Halal Street' have good quality, and everyone seems to have their own favorite.
Niuniu is one of them; they also offer both hotpot and grilling at the same table, and vegetables are self-serve by weight, giving you great flexibility. The model is quite advanced.
Note: if you are a small group, you can generally order half a catty of beef dishes (one catty costs about 80-100 RMB depending on the cut).
